Area Info
The EnglishPoint hotel is an island resort, the biggest pedestrian precinct; its very inviting walkway on the water, jetties. You may devote a delightful deck on the waterfront admiring fabulous yachts with breathtaking views over the creek to historic Fort Jesus and Old Town. Itβs supported by elegant restaurants, with its own Italian pizzeria, Indian restaurant, and cafe among others β this makes it very convenient to eat outside at night and yet not step out of the safety premise.
Transport is required for any activities outside the hotel complex. The hotel is located close to the Old Town but is on the other side of the Tudor Creek, and there is no bridge across it on foot directly. Just outside the hotel gates, the surrounding is more of a residential area, not so tourist-oriented for walks down the area. A very short walk would get you to the main road; from there, you have ample local transport.
From the hotel, the whole Marina environment is the intended approach of walkability; and that is internally covered and well maintained with security and is really very perfect to have restful and safe walks within its premises. For all sight-seeing from outside like going to Fort Jesus, or traveling through the narrow streets of Old Town, or to the sandy beaches of Nyali, a short ride by taxi or tuk-tuk is a must.
